Sanjeev has had a tremendously successful career of starting, growing, and executing the liquidity of several major companies. In 2002, he founded the Ugroup, LLC, a strategic and M&A advisory firm. Sanjeev has successfully implemented several turnarounds for medium sized firms through product/technology/market/financial repositioning. Prior to the Ugroup, Sanjeev founded AvantCom, an infrastructure network company that provided a real-time network to monitor/diagnostics factory flow equipment for suppliers. In 1996, Sanjeev was titled “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young, LLP.

William Johnson, Ph.D., Principal

Dr. Johnson joined the Ugroup in late 2002. He has 25 years of experience in the various industries including General Management/COO positions at Perkin-Elmer, Varian, Intevac Inc., and Therma-Wave, as well as leadership roles in several new technology start-up operations.

Syed Rashid, Principal

Mr. Rashid joined the Ugroup in 2003 as Principal. Prior to joining the Ugroup he was an investment banker on Wall Street for 15 years. Most recently as a Principal in Corporate Finance at Needham & Company and previously a Director of Corporate Finance at Nomura Securities International.

Papken Der Torossian, Principal

Mr. Der Torossian joined the Ugroup in 2003. Previously he was President and Chairman of Silicon Valley Group. He led the company through twenty years of profitable growth prior to its acquisition by ASM Lithography BV. His industry experience includes management positions with Spectra Physics and Hewlett-Packard.
